Dining etiquette has been around since the dawn of time. Humans, the social animals that we are, find the act of communal dining very important, and some of the biggest connections you can make in your lifetime will be made over the dining table. Adult dining etiquette classes are made to ensure that all of those moments pass flawlessly and send a message about you that you want to be sent.
Through our coursework at Lluxxall, you will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge and experience about dining etiquette in different circumstances. While focusing primarily on American dining rules and traditions, there will also be an aspect of international cultural differences, as well as the etiquette of business dining.
The Timeless Importance of Dining Etiquette
If you are healthy, you will be having at least three meals each day. And if you are lucky, all of those meals will be in good company. Simply because we eat so often, dining etiquette will always be important.
But true dining etiquette goes beyond just chewing your food with your mouth closed. Rather, it is a set of manners that you will showcase upon arriving at the dining venue, when presenting yourself to others, and when starting a conversation.
Once you internalize the coursework you will practice at Lluxxall, you will be able to charm your way through any dinner and precisely present anything you have to say or show your character in the light you wish for it to be seen.
Personal Grooming and Dining Attire
While what would be considered appropriate attire will depend on the occasion, date, and current trends, there is certainly a difference between good and bad attire and especially between good and bad grooming.
When it comes to grooming, being clean and tidy will do most of the work. There are also questions about hairstyles and scents for either ladies and gentlemen, which are and are not appropriate.
For attire, the question is slightly more complex and must be addressed depending on the situation. Even the best evening gown will be inappropriate for a matinée, and there are many such situations where what is publically understood as gender norms have a different set of rules, especially in the higher echelons of society.
Individual and Group Introductions
Every social event begins with entry and introductions. It is important to know both how to introduce yourself, including being introduced by others, as well as to know how to properly address and introduce others.
There is a fascinating number of misconceptions presented in popular media where titles, positions, and arrangements are not only mixed between American, European, and Asian customs but frequently misrepresented altogether.
Through our coursework, you will learn exactly what these courtesy titles are, as well as how to use them in polite conversation.
Improved Communication and Social Skills
While most meals we have will be with the people we love and trust implicitly, there are also those meals that have an objective beyond good food and pleasant conversation.
There are business lunches and dinners where you wish to improve your professional standing, social events where you wish to improve your prestige and image, and romantic diners where you wish to decide on the compatibility of the person in front of you.
With good dining etiquette, you will primarily ensure that you never embarrass yourself and make your position worse. Then, when an opportunity opens, you will learn how to effectively network, present your ideas politely, and communicate about the subjects important to you.
Long-term Networking Improvement
People rarely remember discussions, but they will remember how you made them feel for ages, and those with good etiquette will leave lasting impressions. Once they see you as kind and well-mannered, while knowing that you are confident and educated, everything you say next will seem as good sense.
Additionally, multiple impressions such as this have a compound effect by building up your social or professional reputation. Once you are mentioned beyond your presence, your good manners and kind and confident behavior will start working for you.
Calmness and Emotional Fortitude
It is nice to imagine that every social event will pass without any inconveniences, but regretfully, that is not always the case. And while you should approach any engagement with goodwill and kindness, you should also be prepared for unfortunate events.
By practicing scenarios where such things happen, you will know exactly how to act with poise and fortitude and safeguard your good name and reputation. Acting calmly and not letting remarks in bad faith affect your self-respect is one of the cornerstones of proper etiquette.
Improved Social Image and Self-Image
One of the biggest aspects of good etiquette is showing respect. And, as you would show respect towards others, you should show respect to yourself. This is done through respectable behavior on your part and not reacting to any disrespect from others.
With our classes, you will learn to act kindly, patiently, and with purpose. You will show respect to everyone and let those who don’t share your good manners tell on themselves. There is no need to assist them in their self-embarrassment.

We place a special emphasis on different scenarios, both pleasant and not, believing that practical experience is the best when it comes to etiquette. While you will learn why such etiquette exists, it is much better to see such scenarios in action for yourself.

While we implore you to dress modestly and comfortably for your own convenience, these classes are meant to show examples of good styles in different dining situations, most of which would require little more than casual attire.

No problem.
The dining experience is adapted for all types of dietary preferences. At worst, you will learn about some etiquette for dining foods you do not consume but which may be consumed by others, and you might want to know the right etiquette around them.
