Teen’s College Preparatory Class

Teen years are difficult even in the best situation, and we should not place children of that age at one more disadvantage by not teaching them how to act properly. Teens who learn etiquette are seen as more charming, approachable, and dependable, which means even more at their age than it would for an adult.

Etiquette classes for both teen boys and teen girls will help them excel academically because professors love well-behaved students. And while many teens don’t care how academic professionals see them, they do care how their social and romantic peers perceive them, which will be significantly improved with good etiquette.

Who Should Take This Class?

All teens. Even teens who generally behave well will benefit from confidence and socialization, while those who have anxiety and improper manners will see a slew of benefits. Young individuals can sometimes feel lost approaching adult life and find it difficult to ask for guidance.

This is why it was necessary for us to create a broad set of topics that the teenagers will find simplified and fun to learn, engaging further with the class. Social skills, manners, and professional etiquette should not be something that scares your kid.

In this teen private college/career preparatory class you will learn:

The College and Career Preparatory Etiquette Class for teenagers is a comprehensive program designed to equip young individuals with the essential social skills, manners, and professional etiquette needed to navigate the complex landscapes of higher education and the modern workplace successfully. This class covers a broad spectrum of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Professional Communication Skills: Students will practice clear and direct communication, including written professional correspondence, which will help them convey their ideas better and understand the ideas of others. Patience and mindful listening, as well as using body language in their favor according to different circumstances, will make them seem confident and inspire confidence in those they are speaking with.

  • Interview Etiquette: Job interviews in recent days have become an art to themselves, and that is not likely to change in the near future when these teens will require skills to land a good job. Etiquette during an interview is very useful because it will place all of the participants at ease and thus make it easier to convey all of the questions and answers.

The teen here will also learn how to politely pose the correct questions to the interviewer, which are usually seen as essential in determining a good fit but regretfully often come across as rude. With proper etiquette and behavior, they can be posed in a way that shows enthusiasm and honesty.

  • Networking and Social Media Conduct: Contacts made through education and career can affect the trajectory of one’s life and career immensely, meaning that these relationships should be nurtured carefully. Detailed observation of situations and participants is a true skill for healthy and long-lasting relations. Students will learn how to network face-to-face and online to make the best professional representation of themselves.

  • Cultural Sensitivity and Diversity Awareness: Cultural differences are encountered in our everyday work and life. This means we should be able to communicate with respect and understanding for others, including valuing diversity and showing that in a professional manner.

  • Etiquette for Email and Phone Conversations: Students will practice different styles and tones in everyday formal communication. Delivering the message clearly and respectfully is a priority. Opening communication can be tricky and frightening, so it is best to use proper forms in order not to offend anyone by mistake. This will also help with being taken with respect and high regard in return.

  • Positive Body Language Technique: A student’s posture can work both for them and against them. Not only is it important for health and looks, but it is also a useful tool for upgrading the impression of inner worth and knowledge. Learning to use gestures to conquer other's attention and give value and confidence to one’s presentation is not only achievable but also fun!

Desired and Expected Outcomes:

Ideally, once the teens have finished our class, they can implement most of the etiquette skills they have learned, at first slowly and later with growing confidence. If further internalized at home, they will jump up a notch in confidence and directness while improving their charm and tact.
