FAQs About Our Etiquette Workshop

  • As the Latin proverb goes, repetitio est mater studiorum. Repetition is the mother of learning. While it is possible to upgrade your etiquette skills significantly through our classes and upgrade your social standing and professional image, etiquette workshops are where you will be able to master those skills.

With others who have finished the coursework, as well as instructors and guests, you will be able to practice all of the lessons you have already learned. And, while these workshops might be just practice, they are also genuine networking, but without the fear that you can do something wrong.

Everyone in the workshop is there to learn and polish their skills, and as such, you can test your knowledge and try new techniques in your focus field without the stress of not knowing how the other side will react.

    Practical Etiquette Experience

When it comes to the finer points in etiquette, such as body language or overt reactions, there is no better way to polish all of the awkwardness out than to do it repeatedly. The goal is that, in the end, you are not acting a certain way that follows proper etiquette, but rather that you are being that way.

To make the movements natural and instinctual, you will first need to internalize them, which is done during the original coursework and with a bit of home application. Then, it is necessary to remove the need to think about it and to simply do it correctly every time.

The nearest parallel would be driving a bike or a car, where you are not thinking about turning the signal light or placing it into the park, but you simply do it. Your body should be reacting in the same way when it comes to etiquette.

    Dining Etiquette Workshops

This is a fairly cumbersome title for something which is basically a dinner party for etiquette learners. There is no better way to practice dinner etiquette than over dinner, and even if you decide not to listen to anything that the instructor would say during the class, there will still be good food.

If you wish to practice your skills, you will have multiple chances both with your neighbors and with the instructors. Dining etiquette workshops will range from upscale dinners with evening attire required to professional lunch workshops to networking workshops, which are also the best networking events.

It is imagined as a low-stakes venue where you can practice your skills, where everyone else is mindful of the fact that everyone there is a learner.

    Professional Etiquette Workshops

This is the closest thing to a traditional workshop, as the main focus will be on professional behavior, and as such, everyone is expected to act professionally. The only difference is that through the workshop, you will be required to fulfill several different roles that you might not have been used to in your regular job.

Primarily, there is a focus on giving reports and presentations, but also on introductions and pitches for both employees and superiors.

    Upscale Social Events

Technically speaking, these are not balls, as that would refer to the specific dance, but they are very formal events. You will learn the order of entry for such events, how to wait to be announced, and how to mingle during such events.

The whole ordeal is very entertaining for those who have not had the chance to participate before, and it will serve you immensely the next time you are invited to such an event.

While the focus won’t be on the dancing, there will be some light dancing, so it would be advisable to wear something stylish yet comfortable footwear. For those of us who are more open and extroverted, the biggest piece of information would be how to invite someone to dance.

For those of us who are introverted, the equivalent would be knowing how to politely but firmly decline the invitation.

    Effective Communication and Presentation Workshops

Workshops in practical everyday etiquette are the most useful for everyone, albeit they don’t share the entertainment value of dressing up. Here, you will practice daily etiquette, which would be used in more casual situations, including breaks at work or family dinners.

Such etiquette should never be neglected, as most times, you are not at an upscale dinner party or a corporate networking event but rather having a casual dinner or drinks with friends or chatting at a family barbeque with your in-laws. Etiquette here may be the most important skill as it will impact your most precious connections.

    Networking Workshops for Ladies

While etiquette is important for everyone, we regretfully live in a world that places a lot more social expectations on ladies compared to gentlemen. Men have an easier time selecting attire, have fewer rules when engaging in conversation, and don’t suffer the same social stigma of times acting inappropriately. This is why it is important to have special workshops just for the ladies.

During these workshops, it is possible to practice all of the skills that make a proper lady without any masculine distractions and inside a space that is open and accepting. Overcoming the stress that many young women or women in the business world frequently experience is an important step, and we can make that step together.

    Kids and Teen Workshops

When it comes to etiquette, your child will have a bit more leeway than yourself, but that doesn’t mean they can slack off. Pressure on kids and teens from adults to behave properly and from their peers to seem cool is immense, and etiquette classes are there to teach them how to navigate those pressures the best they can.

Additionally, this is an excellent opportunity for children to network as well. Finding peers is difficult at any age, and there is no better team-building exercise than having a joint goal at a workshop.

  • Primarily, the differences American etiquette has compared to traditions from Europe, Asia, and Africa. The focus is primarily on the student not making faux pas in a different culture, and it extends to teaching about how introductions or announcements would be made in other countries.

  • By diligently and properly practicing etiquette, your business partners will be able to know how you will behave at functions. They will treat you with respect because you are respectful, and they will let you speak as you yourself never cut off other people.

  • Depending on the module, this can be a different set of behaviors, but you will achieve the ability to follow etiquette effortlessly and never end up in inappropriate situations.

  • Most definitely. If you are a beginner, good etiquette will help you communicate effectively with your managers and/or mentors. And, if you are already a prominent face in your industry, knowing etiquette will help your negotiations and presentations with partners and clients.
