Practicing Etiquette at Home - Lesson Four
Message to the Parents
Please encourage your children to practice their newly acquired social etiquette skills through the following activities:
Demonstrate Positive Behaviors:
Show your teen examples of positive behaviors through your own actions. They learn best by observing, so let them see you model grace and respect in various situations.
Share Personal Stories:
Share moments when you made a positive impression or learned from a mistake. Hearing real-life examples will help them understand the impact of etiquette and how to handle setbacks with confidence.
Your child is going out:
When your child is heading out, compliment their attire if they’ve dressed well and appropriately. Let them know how much a positive image contributes to their impression on others and reinforces their self-confidence.
Your child is doing good deeds or being attentive to others:
Whenever your child shows kindness or attentiveness, acknowledge and praise their thoughtfulness. Reinforce these positive actions by encouraging them to continue acting kindly and considerately in their interactions.
Dining etiquette:
We also touched on dining etiquette as we enjoyed tea and cookies. I consistently reinforce and guide them on essential aspects of dining with grace and proper manners. If you would like to enroll your child in a dining class, please let me know.
